HID Kit

RE: HID Kit
I thought the bulbs that came with the eurolights kit sucked, maybe it is just me though. I currently have them installed in my Mountaineer as fog lamps, and you they aren't bright at all.

RE: HID Kit
well even if they aint bright, theyre better than those halogens that fail at life, and maybe that's why i think they're bright. they do stack up pretty well against the xenons on the C6 vettes though.

RE: HID Kit
also one more thing to add. hidextreme.com sells conversion kits for cars who use the same bulb for their high and low beam for $199 and separate high and low beam conversion kits for $149. thats what kind of deal eurolights gives you.

RE: HID Kit
but you are paying for the legit HID, not just the color

RE: HID Kit
but also, they dont make sealed beam conversion kits. as far as i know of, thats a eurolights exclusive.and im pretty much an amateur with DIY car work, so i wouldnt get into altering a halogen sealed beam housing to accept bulbsand doing a bunch of rewiring to have it light right.

i havent looked at it too much, but what is the benefit of resealing? why not just break the seal?
I have trouble believing that i cant just buy a bulb for my TA when it comes time to replace.... ill have to get in there some time and check it out

RE: HID Kit
you'll be happy to know that sealed beams are pretty much gone on new cars nowadays. the last thing i can remember them being used on are wranglers before a were redesigned a couple of years ago. i wouldnt know how to reseal them. maybe tapping them to accept screws would be good, but i dont have the tools to do that either. that's where eurolights housings come in handy.
