Default Original CA license plates?

I have a 69 Camaro with what I believe are the original California license plates. Is there any way to tell if they were the ones that were issued when the car was first registered? I know the CA plates were given out sequentially. If they are the original ones I will definitely keep them on. If not I may go with custom ones. They start ZJ_ _ _ _.
Thanks in advance!

The 1967 California cars ranged from T to around V. My aunt had a ’69, albeit a Plymouth, and the license plate was YIS 674. I think the ZJ is just about right. I am thinking of getting black plates starting with a T as mine is a ’67.
