Ive had my eye on a Speed Grill. It looks freakin awsome! The only problem is that i wont have a front license plate, plus its a V6. Would this look "wanna be" cus i think their for the Z28. Im not sure about all other states, But California law says that if the car came with a front plate then you have to have it, but all other camaros on the street dont have them, so should i do it or not?................................I tried to keep it short and sweet.

 

I dont have the front plate on my car and so far only one citys police hassle me.

 

Did they write u up, or just tell u to put one on?

 

yea i never understood the whole plate in the front thing.....

 

Va. State law requires you to run a front plate .......... I do not ........ researched it and it is a non moving violation , $25.00 fine if caught , no points against your liscence ........ so I figure I will take the chance and not drill holes in my grill.

Havnt had my front plate on for a while, and I have had plenty of cops stairing at me since I do the speed limit, and none have done anyhting so far. I have it in the windshield underneith the right whipper which is still pointless since you cant make it out. In colorado the ticket is only ten buckets, and its called a "fix-it-ticket" usually they give you warnings and have only heard of one time somebody got a ticket. And in colorado I think the plate in teh front is for photo radar, got one going through a red light once, and it took three pictures of me, all from the front, the big picture of the intersecion, with the red light, the clsoe up of the wheels past the line, and a medium one to catch your face, where Im going "F***" looking up.

Never been writen up. Just told them I took it off to do some repairs and they said just find it and put it back on. That is in Woodland CA. No where else has bothered me yet.

 

I live in new york, I put on a billet grill, no front plate, never been pulled over. Worse comes to worse you get pulled over and get a $40 ticket or something. I keep my front plate under the passenger seat and if I do get pulled over i'll just say that I just put the grill on that day and haven't gotten a new bracket for it. no biggy
