I have a 99 z28 it is an A4.I have a borla catback esaust system,and a k&n air induction.And is has a real goodtune.I am wanting to race this 6 speed 2006 gto.This gto is all stock.what are my chances?

 

Not enofe info. The GTO will win in a drag.

Well we are going to race 1/4. And i have raced a moded up gto and barley lost by only a nose so i think i have a decent chance at this one.

 

those GTO's are a couple hundred pounds heavier, most stock LS2 GTO's ive seen run about a 12.5, and ive herd the tranny's on the paddle shift GTO's start to wear out quick if raced alot.

i know a guy that has one, and one of my buddy's has an 04 Z06,

when the guy first got the GTO he smokedmy friendsZO6(ls6{385hp})

after about8 months, and racing all the timeon the GTO the Z06 won, 4 races in a row.

the guy with the GTO said it seems like he's losing power at the tranny, and its only got about 15K on the motor.

you never know, you might pull one off.

 

Need more info. My guess is a manle LS2 would be too much. Where a 5.7 would run damn near side by side. For the A4 just the info that he has a tune could mean a lot of things. Maybe you should add some juice just to be on the safe side

2006 is an LS2 but they are pretty heavy

i would honestly think that you've got a shot, get some drag radials and run from a dig

with catback, lid, and tires i ran a 13.1 with my A4
