Im not completly sure who would win but i think the ls1 would. A 1997 cobra mustang vs a 2000 trans am/ camaro. The cobra has 305hp and the ls1 has 320hp right? Who would win from a stop, roll, and a dig?

Thats not a race, thats a slaughter. The LS1 has 350 HP, GM published smaller numbers to seperate it from the vette. Thats ALL LS1s Z28, SS, WS6 and T/A all same engine.

But like I said, that race is gunna be worse than the time I tried to play marco polo with helen keller. LS1 will win.

 

dude the ls1 aint that much faster then the 275-285 h/p LT1.........
now your saying that the ls1 is 75 more h/p if true at 350 h/p. it dont make sence.

LS1 camaros run low 13s stock, a lucky few in the high 12.
LT1 camaros run low 14s stock with some in high 13s

A full second in the 1/4 is "much faster" besides, if what you say is true. Then we should start advertising for them:

I thought that 98-02 LS1's had 310 HP at the crank. I think the Trans Am/ Camaro is goin to win from a roll and dig. That year model cobra's were slow. However watch out for 03 cobras they are SUPERCHARGED

 

a stock lt1 will be around 14's and a ls1 is a 13.5 + so wtf are you talking about.

 

with a decent driver a stock LS1 camaro will run 13.3s all day long. there were a few factory freaks as well. The fastest ever stock LS1 ran a 12.8 stock down to the paper air filter.

 

Alright what about a 05 GTO vs a 2000 Ls1??

 

I forget if the 05 GTO is an LS1 or an LS2. The LS2 GTO can beat an LS1 camaro but its a drivers race. The LS1 camaro should beat an LS1 GTO. But driver is everything.
