Hey guys i havent posted much , but i guess i better start asken some questions. I drive a 1999 Z28 camaro, with a corsa catback, MAF, shift kit, K&N custon ram air , and a tune. There is this kid at school with a 1997 WS6 TA that i really want to run in the 1/4 but im not sure how it would turn out. I know i have the ls1 vs his lt1 and my Auto vs His 6 speed. But just let me know what you think. Will i pull.

 

you will be fine. the lt1 has about 80 less hp than you. and the auto tranny for ls1 cars isnt bad. push the brake and gas at the same time at the start line, get ur rpm to about the point where the car wants to move, then mash the gas and let off the brake to launch. i bet ull even take him out of the hole. if not, u will definitly run him down later. to put it into perspective, my buddy has an lt1 z28. the trans ams are heavier cars by a couple hundred lbs, so my car being heavier i had these results. you being lighter are in a better spot

 

i knew the trans am's were heavy for 3rd and 4th gen, but by like 300pounds? dayum... only time trans am was a better looking car was the LS1 style anyway..

i just checked out my buddy's new setup. 4.6 with stroker 5.0 kit, high compression, high flow head job, the whole nine. I hate to say it, but i think he will kick my ***
