ok this might seen generalized but i was just wondering if you could list some cars that you think i would beat in a 1/4 mile drag..ok well its a '81 camaro with a 383 V8 with 450 hp and torque at the flywheel, with a stock rear end and TH350(For now) and average sized radial tires..what cars do you think i could beat in a 1/4 mi?

 

Well.. one the street probably pretty much everything except big cash cars (Expensive BMWs, Vipers, Corvettes, etc.)

On the 1/4 mile strip.. probably only the average cars. If you live in a big city probably not much, they'll all be tuned to run 1/4 in probably 10 or less. If you have a specific car or something in mind that your trying to beat list em and we'll help you as best we can with answers.

 

There are a lot of cars you will be able to beat. It might be easier to make a list of ones you won't.
Let's start with...a 69 Camaro with a 393 stroker, tunnel ram, and dual quads!

Not the new GT-R, they have insane horsepower, are very light, and crazy fast. Maybe an older one not built up.

A supra engine is very good at handling any type of boost (turbo or supercharger) so as long as it's built up.. probably not. But maybe if it's not juiced up!

A GTO probably, a chevelle BB probably not, and a '70 charger hemi, probably not.

Again, it depends how well built up these cars are haha. If you race any post and let us watch the video!

 

^98% true. As long as the cars mentioned are stock, you should take them (excluding the GTR) like YD said.

But just cause I'm a nitpicker, the GTR is definitely not very light. It's 4000+ pounds of driver assisting computer. :P
