I actually got some good iseas from this thread, like the electronic supercharger, and the weightless wing, excelent power adders.

 

Where I live the two closest strips are bothe an hour and a half away and MIR costs 75 to enter, the other costs 45 to enter. when you line up you race whoever is next to you, and if the car runs better than 12s there is a required roll cage rule. I am not sayin the city makes huge money off this, but it does go into the city's general fund, out of which police budgets here come. also, if a waiver is signed,and if the street has low/no traffic and is maintained well, how is that different than a track. a drag strip costs a great deal of money to build, and most small towns simply do not have the cash that would be needed. If we depended on the people to fund it there would be little support. basically the idea is actually one of the better that has been presented.
