i actually got a Viper out of the hole tonight with my Silverado. 4WD AND 610FT/LBS OF TQ AT LAUNCH FTMFW

first 30 feet i had him, then he blew me out of the water

through all the "mods" listed in this thread to beat a viper with the God-like 3800 series II, there is one simple true way to beat a viper.. and it can be done in 2 steps.

1. Drain all fluids from car.. (ok this counts as a bunch of steps)
2. Replace them all with Gatorade.

Good for at least 500 horses per cylinder.. at least thats what the dyno says..

Yep, Gatorade works wonders! Hasn't anyone ever tried that before? And don't forget to add a lot of stickers, those are good for at least 20hp a piece![8D]

Wouldn't you think mounting a squirrel-cage fan on the rear spoiler would be a better trick to try?
A 3.8 can go much faster in a tail-wind!
