Just a question but how do you have a chip, I thought that the PCM had to be tuned and there was no replaceable chip in these cars. And I know they don't make a programer for a 99 3.8, I've got the same year and I've checked, they have them for a 98 and 00, but not a 99. Not saying you don't, just wondering if I was wrong?

 

is he 93? the 93 had a different pcm and could be chipped

 

He said he had a 1999 3.8. Did you mean 1993, as in the year, or something else?

 

thats what i meant. that car cant have a legit chip then. if he has a bypass module he needs to ditch it.

 

Lol go to the JET chips site. You can find it on there. Stage 2 JET PCM... You put it in and stick your stock PCM in it... Not hard to find.

 

Ok so you don't really have a chip and you don't have a true tune then.

 

Stock to stock your only 25 HP short of a GT mustang before 99... Power to weight ratio is on your side...
