i agree with stig. also, here in NY, between exit 18 and 21 or so, you do around 75-80, with a 65 limit, constantly, 21 to about 30, you can break 100 the whole way. no cops, and it's boone'sville anyway. now, anything under exit 18, you had BETTER be doing at most 65. lol.
btw. i live in area where Route 4, Route 9, and Route 149 all connect.

Nonetheless, the special privelages shouldnt be expected everywhere, and the way you worded your story made it seem like you were angry that you didnt recieve them out your jurisdiction. After all it is just that, a privelage, not a right.

I personally think the professional courtesy is B.S. It's as fair as saying that someone in the Army can go around murdering civilians because he eliminates threats to the country for a living. As far as I'm concerned, if you're on the Police force, when you're in your police cruiser, by all means, speed, do doughnuts in the middle of the street, hell cause a 50 car pile-up for all I care, but as soon as you're not in that car and not on duty, you deserve the tickets that everyone else would get in the same situations.

exactly!
no one is above the law, not even the president. President Nixon and Clinton really proved us that, especially Nixon.

it's not so much that their above the law, or better than any of us, it's just that cops don't give cops tickets. They know that their out there busting their ***, putting themselves in danger, and aren't going to hassle them over a ticket. It's just one of those unwritten rules. See the Blue Code of Silence, "an unwritten code of honor among police officers in which reporting another officer's errors, misconduct, or crimes is regarded as a betrayal." Does it necessarily make sense? no, not so much. But that's just the way it is, and the way it's always been. For the most part, tickets are bull**** to begin with, just a way for the state to make more money.

hahaha people from VA got it worse.
They passed some law last year(i dunno if its still in effect)
its like 1250$ for a turn signal violation if you live in Va.
and like 5000$ for speeding violations, plus they put points on your license and tax the points yearly.
Va for the lose, any common wealth for that matter.
Thats only if you live in Va tho, out of towners get regular tickets (yay)
