I dont think wreckless driving starts until 25 over. Although I'm not real sure, I just know that in Nebraska 45 is a felony, and over 100 is attempted suicide when alone and attempted homocide w/ passengers.....but I am curious to know your reasoning for being mad you got a ticket... Im a criminal justice major and even though I know some police officers in my area I wouldnt expect special treatment, when you passed the speed limit you knew it was wrong and did it anyway, really, there is no one to blame and again I'm sorry but youve got a really weak case.

dunno. i know i got "gunned" at 89 in a 45, and i didnt get anything. but i KNOW i wasnt doing 89, was still in 2nd, and that maxes at ~55
If you ever get pulled over for speeding, and you think it's BS, ask to see his radar gun. By law you're entitled to be able to see the reading on the radar gun if you get pulled over for speeding, at least in AR. My dad told me a story about one guy who got pulled over in Damascus AR (notorious for speed traps), and he asked to see the "gun", and it turned out the cop just had a black wooden box sitting on the dash of his cruiser.

sodo you think you are abovethe law because you are related to some cops and work for them ?
i don't care who you know , are related to , or who you work for, you break the law and get busted for it , MAN UP TO IT INSTEAD OF TRYING TO WEASEL OUT OF IT !
i am proud of that cop that gave you a ticket, thats how it should be.

Accully they dont have to show the gun. They can write you up and walk away. You are innocent until proven guilty and on the side of the road is not the place to argue your point. In court is. But, if you ask nicely most of them will show it to you, and make sure you get the serial number also.

To the SRT4 guy, the Department of Transportation says the safiest way to drive is with the flow of traffic. Now if youve ever been on any interstate in your life, you know this is usually higher than the speed limit. I take I-75 to work, and the usual flow is about 80-85, speed limit is 70. And its also obvious why its safer to go with traffic. I see to many idiots going 60 and holding up traffic for miles & cuase accidents.

So, Why should I be punished for driving safley? Even the DOT tells me I was driving the safiest way. Yet I should be fined, and have all my insurance rates go up? ...For being safe? If this is a country of the people, and the majority of the people want higher speed limtis. Why are they still so low?

Even him though, he was going a whopping 70 mph with no one on the road. He was not hurting anyone or anything. If anything the cop made it more dangurus by pulling him over & making a traffic hazard on the side of the road at night.

I have nothing aginst law enforment, but why are our tax dollars paying 10 FHP troopers to sit on the side of I-75 and make sure no one does 75mph. Becuase god forbid, we all know all hell brakes loose after75mph. Maybe our tax dollars would be better off trying to prevent murder, rape, drug smugglers and other felonies. But then again, I would really hate to see people go "to fast" on roads that their taxes are paying for...

Sorry couldn't get on for awhile. at 11:30 at night, when there is barely anyone on the road, especially on a well traveled road that is considered an interstate, its actually more dangerous to pull someone over unless they can turn onto another road out of the flow of traffic. If someone was doing 100+ I could see pulling them over and giving them a citation, or even just yelling at them but driving with 3 other cars for a total of 4 cars driving the same exact speed? Going 16 over? Barely any traffic on the road? Answer your own question....

My advice to anyone who wants to keep his record clear? Take an online driving improvement course such as I am doing, go to court and plead guilty....its highly unlikely the judge is not going to drop it. I'll let you all know the outcome in March

Hate to break it to everyone, but u do get special privelages. My dads a cop. Played with a statey at 120 for about 10 miles. Stopped at a gas station cuz he needed some, and got pissed at the cop for following him so long. Didnt get a ticket, didn't get reprimanded. Mom got out of a ticket when my dad was in the academy just by sayin it. I give it to you man, cop was bein a ******, he should've let you off regardless. Cops won't give cops other tickets, it's a non written rule. I reap the benefits around town cuz i know all of them. I know where you're comin from armynatguard18, at least the trip was good. Nice kills though

yea. i asked him and he said no, also, it was a unmarked car, and NO lights, just a siren.

i dont agree with cops getting out of tickets, but it's kinda a "privalage" to being in the force, i guess.
