turbo eclipse goes down in flames...literally
as i was on my way home from work i ran across a turbo eclipse, as i passed he goose it so the pop-off valve would make noise, so i goose back. i dropped back and let him catch me. we were side by side then we both stomp it. i heard a loud "POW" and flames shoot out from his fender! turns out he had a bottle on the car also , and he hit the button too soon and it back fired throught the intake and caught the air filter on fire [sm=happybounce.gif] so he breaks out the chrome fire ex. and putts it out....i couldn't help but laugh as i got back in my car drove on to the house.

yes i know what a blow-off valve is....i'm a Subaru tech by trade..so i have a pretty good idea what a blow-off valve is....we call them pop-off valves here locally , inside story but to put it short a guy with a STi put one on his car , didn't know how to adjust it and the engine went "pop" , with less than 3,000 miles on it...for some reason a stock 2.5 long block doesn't like 26 +/- psi with 93 octane in it.
