theres this chick at my work she says she has a 2jz supra witch okay ill buy look like mommy and daddy have money she says she keeps up with susuki hyabusa's in it which are 9 second bikes....she claims its a 11 second car here in colorado which means its 10 seconds elsewere this means that were talking about a freaking 650-700 horse power car she also states a daily driver.....running 25+ pounds of boost some how i doubt it

 

its possible. have u seen the car? the thing to remember is many people way over-hype their cars. I raced against a couple 1g dsm's this summer who know guys on a wbody forum that I mod. I raced the faster one from a roll (he said bc his u-joints were weak, but i think it was because he has a giant turbo and it wont spool from a dig) and he walked me, but barely, and this was while I was running only 18 degrees of timing and a 100 shot.

Now, these kids kept claiming the car was low 11s high 10s as they sat that night, with mid-low 10s when he puts race gas in. They went to the track ack the best time was 11.8, which is respectable, but it aint no high 10. I tried to tell them, but oh no, those were 10 second cars . and then the track results came in.
just remember most cars are hyped up. usually considerably slower than they make them otu to be

 

nope this other guys claims hes see in also said she beat his 18 second grand prix by a long ways (like you need a 11 second car to do that......)

May she is over hyping the car, but on the other hand the only really streetable car around here than can routinely kick our Camaro's butt is a Supra that has 990+ at the RW and does mid 9s.

Check it out, and for sure, if it has a solid rear axle, run, don't walk away: few Supras do but those whose owners spent the money do 9s or low 10s.

 

ive never seen a supra NOT modded.. but ive only seen 4, 2 were older ones, one is my friends(615HP, single Turbo)

25PSI, is actually, pretty low for a supra. ive heard of them running up to 40 on stock internals. and 650HP is also mediocre for those cars. its a car, that takes bout 2grand to reach 500HP, and bout 6grand to reach 800HP, and only like 10grand, to do the whole shibang(with 800HP). the stock engines can handle about 900HP, from what ive read.
there also, the only import, that's TQ is up there, usually side by side to the HP. and cuz of the turbo lag, they usually stick really good from a launch.
the fastest Daily Driven car is a 1200HP supra, with a TT setup.

but then again... my friends supra got walked all over by my dad's friend's turbo diesel. only 500HP, but friggan 850TQ. and it wasnt no 1/4mile run, they awent all the way down my street(bout 2miles) and at no point, was that supra near, lil alone passing, that truck. the supra was a whole 15-20seconds behind this truck. and this truck was bout 9feet high, with 42inch swampers, and all that, prolly 5500pounds.

 

yea. the funny part is. with any of the imports. once u hit a certain time, u can keep adding HP, and hardly does anything. but, at the same time, until that point, it's real easy, and cheap to get the power. theres one episode of pinks, where theres a 10second civic hatchback,and they claimed it only cost 5grand, including car price. just boost em out the ***, and dont worry bout breakage basicly..fastest supra is like a 8.17sec car, @ 1800HP if memory serves, the next fastest is a DD that does 1100HP, that runs 8.35 if memory serves. HP can only get u so far.. ya need teh TQ!!
