SVT vs GT's and civic
First off let me give you some back ground here.
03 Cobra
2.3 Wipple
SCT tuner
X pipe
Magnaflow Exhaust
17 degree's of timing
17 pounds of boost
Tuned on the safe side at 11.6 AFR
580 WHP and 550 Torque
I dont know what it is if people dont know the diffrence from a GT mustang to a cobra or even if some people know the 03 and 04 (terminator) are Supercharged. But for some reason every GT and ricer on the road wants to freaking rev at me.
Driving home today i see this black 1999-2004 GT at a stop light. Nice looking car with a few bolt on's a very clean car. Well i turn and about a mile down the road i see him behind me. Next thing i know the guy punches it changes lanes and blows by me doing probaly 90 in a 45 just to cut in front of me and turn into a parking lot.
Next we have a guy i work with. Drives a 2001 GT with a stock T5 transmission and a little non-intercooled vortec. Ok this is not a bad car but every thing was done on a budget. For some reason this guy thinks his car is making 380 HP on this kit (never on dyno) and of course he is still running factory fuel system and just basic bolt ons other then the base vortec kit. To top it off the guy thinks that his GT vs the Cobra will be a drivers race.
Now to the best one of the day. After the first GT guy i find a early 90s hatch back civic now reving at me coming down 210 a road that police presence is always high on and any one would have to be retarded to race on. This guy comes up revs and takes off once again in a 45. By the time the guy was out of my sight he probaly was going close to 100.
Yes i know none of these are real kill storys but i needed to vent.

Well at least you have people wanting to race you. Since I bought my cobra I dont get near as many races as I did with my GT. It sucks! Ive got to race a C5 and a turboed 350Z, but thats about it so far.

I get reved at by every GT mustang in the free world 2V,3V and 5.0s. I had one GT guy with a crazy loud exhaust try to race me in trafic at 6PM on a friday. Once again "a typical mustang guy"

Oh I don't know about that, I got revved at by a non-riced out camaroer a couple days ago. He kept on looking over at me and then revving, it was a long light, but i was turning and i dont race even if i hadnt been turning.
