On the way homefrom work I raced a red 1997 SVT Cobra. I was talking to the guys for a whilein traffic going over hp#'s and years of cars. We got by the traffic and we opened it up for a little bit. We went from 25 to 70.I was a few cars ahead when we shut down. The 2 guys were nice and they said they liked how clean the SS was.

 

You should have won those cars are tirds. On powerblock on Spike tv they SuperCharged a 97 Cobra and they only got 303 hp out of it. That is cool that they were cool though because most of the mustang guys around me are just ****s. Especially when they won't race when I'm beside them knowing they will lose.

 

the thing with the 4.6 4v is there was alot of variance in the cam timing wiht the DOHC, so some cars are just absolute turds, while others (when the timing is right) are pretty mean. Just comes from the loose requirements from the factory.

 

I still want to have a run in with a Termie that might be fun

 

I met up with Cobra as I was getting on the freeway. He saw me pulling up to his rear bumper and then he stepped on the gas and pulled away from me so I sped up and caught up to him further down and I did the same thing to him stepped on the gas and blew by him. Still futher down he caught up so I dropped down a gearcause I thought he was ready for a gobut he just kind of looked foward like if I wasn't there so I tapped on the gas a few times so he could hear me but he didn't do anything so I passed him off and continued on my way. Maybe he thought I wasn't worth it or maybe I had a little more under the hood than he expected. I'll neverknow. Maybe next time.

 

I hang out with a cobra. They're nice...ill give them that. They can be bas azz ****ing cars... but the ss got the same potential i believe. The one i know has full race suspension and a **** ton of motor upgrades. He's running 12 psi! Not bad. Anybody seen the cobra on the cover of Summit Magazine?

 

all i have to say about this is that i raced a 97 cobra that was supercharged and smoked him...oh...i was driving a pretty heavily modded s10 with a v6. with the same truck...i pulled up next to an 01 ss and gave him the gas pump a couple times and we both took off and he actually beat me to 100. i knew the guy and i know he was bone stock

you're calling bull **** on me? i have so much reason to lie about something like that. in case you would like facts...that s10 was putting out 315 hp to the rear wheels...had the dyno sheet to prove it. the truck was rear ended and totaled out and i gave all the paperwork to the guy that bought it. don't come on here calling bull **** on me when you have no idea who i am or what i'm about

 

wow... you just need to calm WAYYYYYYY down! you're talking that ur modded s-10 with 315hp beat a supercharded cobra! that's a lot to handle at once.


Cobra: 305 hp with 300tq... stock and weighs 3391 lbs. (this is not supercharged)

S-10: claimed 315hp ?tq... and weighs anywhere from 3000 to3300lbs.(depending on the year... but prob. somewhere around there)

Now... stock cobra... i would say youwould take it... not kill it... but none the less. If it's supercharged i would say it would probably rape you! Just looking at the facts here bud, dont go getting your panties all in a knot and start freaking about again!
