Default ss vs ss

lets say 2001 ss auto vs 2001 ss standard. Whats the difference in times at the track. Im guessing the standard will win but by how much. Both equal drivers, both stock.

It will be very close and could go either way. 1st gear in the M6 is pretty crappy for launching.

if your both running stock, the auto will win. Automatics have better gear ratios than the 6 speeds there making them 2-3 tenths faster. For some reason 6 speed camaros have crappy lanuches, thats why the best camaros are automatics.

Yeah you really cant screw up a launch with an auto, but I would put my money on the auto.

My stock auto with just a K&N drop in filter ran a 13.8, but it is also a 1999 model and was my first time driving a car at the drag strip ever, but now im in the mid 13's.
