My bud has a pretty tricked out SRT-4, Not sure all the mods, but he runs 12 lbs of boost and is rated at like 320 HP.

I have my 70 maro with a 350 (Its a crate engine)in it, Have 340 at the RW. Haven't done much of anything to it since i asploded the 396 (waiting to get the bigger engine before i upgrade). Just has full flowmaster, not much else.

 

the srt is alot lighter. you crush him off the line

 

I haven't done too much racing in my car since i got the engine swapped, so i guess we'll find out.

 

good luck man i hate SRT 4 becaful the have a tendancy to torque steer and blow up partiularly when some idoits running more boost that it can handle

 

Well he's one of my buddies i've known for a long time, he's no idiot he doesn't run the boost too high. But still i'd like to hand him his ***, we'll see...

14lbs isnt that much for the neon, sounds like a good race, ask him what "stage" or w/e he has on it... if he has the stg 2 from mopar w/ the toys you wont have much of a chance

 

the SRT4 has you in the weight area of it. should be a interesting race.

 

DAMN SRT-4 s **** me off >.< U can never tell if they are going to be worth racing until it happens.. they are cheap to fix up a quick one, so just be careful
