Default smoked a truck

So i was out crusin a couple days ago going through a little town doin 25 or 30. I come up on a chevy 1500 with a loud v8 in it. I was just minding my own business and was slowly passing him when he starts rev and acting like he wants to race or somthing. I get on it alittle bit and he floors it. I had to slow down cause i car was turning in front of me. Then he puts on his brakes so i have to like really slow down. That kinda ticked me off. ThenI was behind him and i floored it. Flew by himdoin 45or so in a 35. got up to 60 and i could barely make him out in my mirror. Stupid farmers in there trucks...............lol. I know its nothing to pe proud of racing an older mid 90's tuck, but i thought i would letyall know.Theres not too many ricers around where i live, so i have to take whatever comes....lol

don't forget ....not all trucks are slow. in 1991 GMC had a little truck out called the Syclone....had a 4.3L turbo with AWD rated at 245hp , but made closer to 275hp. they were kickin the Vette's *** in '91.

Hahaha Blade.

I'm sorry but I find this story hard to believe.

Possibly he wasn't racing? What year was the truck?

If you slowed down, then WOT'd the throttle and passed him going 45, without him racing.

Then how did you not expect to beat him?

And if you were still WOT from 45-60 then how do you figure within(what's it take a v6 to go from 45-60...10-12 seconds??) that amount of time you were 20 bus lenghts ahead, since you could barely see him in your rearview...

It seems like all you accomplished was a ricer flyby on an old man...

my dad has a 97 GMC sierra w/ the 5.7 vortec...

You can drive NOT-conservatively in the thing and it you don't need to go above 2,500rpms...crazy low end tq...I opened it up one time and it had some *****...

Although butt-dyno for butt-dyno I'd say my car is faster but who knows, hard to tell, one ride height extreme to another...

It could have been a 305 truck, and those 4.3 V6's can sound like V8's at times

Ok, tell me if this is better for you.

(Sarcasm) It takes you what, 12 seconds to get from 45-60 (/Sarcasm)

I was making fun of the fact that you were racing a V6, like a joke.

And it wasnt an old man
Stupid farmers in there trucks...............
I took the liberty of constructing a picture of a farmer in a mid 90's truck in my mind; Bam, it was an old man.

And what kind of race isit if you gun it, and pass him 10 mph over the speed limit, and get off the throttle?

60 in a 35 yea thats about 10 miles over i guess where did you go to school hiss. At least i dont drive a rustang. I like to get off the throttle after i smoke some one, it seems pointless to keep goin when there way behind you. If you cant ever say somthing good about someone why bother saying anything?
