remember that elantra?
well i bought my moms sunfire this past weekend along with my camaro
camaro is still in ohio but the sunfire was already here in MD,
anyway my friend in the elantra was braggin cause he beat a civic hatchback with a folgers exhaust tip
so i said "hey you want to race my sunfire" the idiot swore up and down it was a v6 car so he wouldnt do it
i put the hood up and showed him it was a 4 cyl. and he said fine
we drove to a backroad out in the county and raced and i barely beat him we only raceda little more than1/8 of a mile but it was fun
my first race ever and what an adrenaline rush
now i cant wait to bring my camaro home

RE: remember that elantra?
I saw a really slow, but fun, drag race when I was in Europe about twenty years ago, a drag race between an East German Trabant and a Fiat 600 which was twenty years old even then. There was more smoke than in a lot of drags with big burnouts, but all of it from the exhausts of those two wheezing little popcorm poer motors the Trabant relatively new but made in a communist factory so it was crap from day one,and the Fiat twenty years old with a motor that didn't even have an oil filter it was so cheap. The the race seemed to take forever: the Fiat won by about ten lengths and I think its trap speed was around 50 mph.
