Default Real Viper Kill. Plus track times

Test and tune day turned out good for once. The weather held off and we had a good turn out for the drive over to the track. A guy i work with has a 97 viper R/T. Now let me state one quick fact this is not some rich kid. He is a young guy that saved his money from deployments to buy this car and talks very little trash about a bad A%! car. But any way he came out to the track with us today and set a new personal best with a impressive run of 12.6. I was very impressed with the car and its top end a very nice car with a monsteres top end.

For me it was not my best run of the day. The track was fresh and only a few cars had run before us. I was only able to pull a 1.65 60 foot (still having traction issues) I ended up with only my third fastest pass of the day with a sorry 11.8 beating out the viper by .8 seconds.

For me i never could get the car to leave at more then 2300 RPM's. I could not hook worth crap any higher. Even after rosting the 315 M/Ts and droping too 20PSI i still pulled a 30 foot burn out trying to leave at 3000. GRRRR. Still all and all a good day the best run of the day was a 11.6 with a lot of room to improve.

I will post the slip info a little latter when i can dig them out of the car.

Nice work!

You just beat one of my favorite cars right there (It's only beat out by differing years of Viper. :P)

I could go check your build thread, but you could probably explain here in better detail; what's your suspension setup as of now?

Near bone stock. Springs and relocation brakets for the 12 bolt.

Um very easy i hit the gas and the car go's down the track. There are guys running 1.4s and faster on stock suspensions man. Are cars are not notorious for wheel hop and we have a good suspensions set up from the factory. I have a nitrous junky friend that is running the same set up as me on a th400 and can cut 1.3-1.4s all day long.

All you need for a good 60 in a F-body is gears, converter, and some sticky tires.
