sorry to tell you man,but youre going to be 0-5 in those races. all those cars are high 15 low 16 second cars, yours is high 16 low 17.

Yeah... I hate to say it, but you probably won't be winning all that many races in a 3.4, especially against later model cars.

i would say, if you're thinking about modding your car AT ALL!!! Take it from a fellow 3.4 owner, and i have a 5-speed. THE 3.4 WASN'T MADE FOR BEING FAST IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM!!!
I'd say by a 3.8, you'll probably even get better gas mileage with that.

Anyway, i'd say the 3.4 has pretty good torque off the line and up to about 40. I begin to loose the races that i do at about 50. Gratned i was racing a 1st gen supra and lexus is300...
Honestly, i'd say go for it. I think it's possibly for you to pull a few wins. I'll still support my fellow 3.4!!!!

 

Just go for it anyway.
Even if you lose, whats the big deal?
Just tell 'em good race, get some mods and go back at it!
