Default quick question

i'm cruising in my 89 2.8 RS automatic when this ****** in a stock standard neon (not an srt) starts stuff with me, i'm just workin with the tranny on this cruise cause it wasn't hitting the higher gear when i stepped the throttle so i didn't want to make a fool of my self so i back off for now.

i had it with this particular owner so now i'm going to buy a smashed up yet running iroc z with a 350 and transfer the engine, tranny and all the rest needed for a v8 swap into the RS along with headers , exhaust and a bigger cam kit (would the 260 degree from comp be good?) you think i would burn him??

If you can't burn him with that, extend the pedals so you can actually reach them.

2 frankthetank078, the bolt ons are only the tip in the iceberg i'm just mentioning what i canafford 4 right now there's just so much i want to do to it.

2 MoreLikePALcohol what do you mean by that???? i'm 6 ft 3in. i really don't have that kind of problem

all i wanted was a simple answer to kind of lift my spirits before doing this whole process, but obviously a smart *** lingers

Haha chill out man I wasn't being a smartass, I was saying if you can't burn that car after that, you must not be reaching the pedals, i.e. yes it will burn it. Sense of humor?

oh man, do i feel stupid i'm so sorry, i've just really had it with this guy with the neon. We have hated each other since the begining of time, like countless fist fights and what not. I really just want to burn him with my 'maro 'cause he's just constantly passing by my house reving his cheap little gas can exhaust at all times of the day and night. would the 2.8 win against him? also or should i just wait 'till the 350 is in?

once again, i'm sorry for the previous response

i honestly dont no much about the 2.8 or what it will run but i can tell u for sure when u get that 350 with a bigger cam and some bolt on's that you could put a stage 2 turbo in that neon and still beat him...to be honest it aint worth your gas

He's got a weight advantage I'm pretty sure. And if its a manual or "standard" neon he can probably get you off the line.

But I've only driven a older blazer with the 2.8 and I didn't like it much. So I'm biased.
