i wish i could've recorded what happened today. i was on my way home from applying for a job for the summer, since i have no class, and this silver mustang gt starts riding my tail. it was the model right before the '05. anyway, we're on the highway, which is verrry curvy in my area. i knew i couldn't outrun him straight up, i have a 3.8, so i waited for the curvy sections, which go on for a few miles. i just got new hancook tires, which handle great, and decided to go for it.

we're in the middle of a curve doing about 50, so i go ahead and hit 2nd and go. the rear shot out from behind, but i held it. immediately he does the same thing, so we're off. he pulled me pretty bad of course, until we made it to the next curve. i didn't know if mustangs could handle well or not, but i knew my car could, so that was my only hope...and it worked. i started pulling up on him little by little in this extremely long curve. i think the speed limit was 45mph for this one, and i was doing 95-100. by the time the curve ended i was about 3 cars ahead, and another one was coming up. after all the curves he was pretty far behind me, but of course reeled me in on the straight stretch.

my car was definitely pushed to its handling limit, i could feel it clinging for life. i was shaking all over after it was finished lol, not scared it was just a huge rush. the other guy said he tried and tried to push his car more, but it would slip and he'd have to correct it.

i'll never do that on a public road again, though.

 

that is what camaros should do..get a good 1/4 time, and handle like a zo6
