More rice
Leaving a club last night, I pulled up next to another neon. I got rid of the SRT4 wing, so now my car just looks like an obnoxiously loud neon. So the light turns green, and I go. I guess this kid was racing me, but my boost gauge was in vacuum the whole time. So once I realized it, I gave it a little, and then a salute. Looked something like this:

He turned off. hah

Got to love sleepers good kill.

Good. The daily driver is down, so I've been driving to work every day on 1680cc injectors. Not exactly "street friendly". But I'm working on a motor as well. Same block as is in it now, just forged internals. Should go from the 250 ft/lb up to about 400-410. And I'm installing a big red emergency button for the boost controller to jump up to the 26psi or so of boost I'll be making. Next step after that is a bigger snail, but it's not exactly just a drop-in mod. Have to put a MAP sensor in that can see more than 3BAR of IM pressure, a boost gauge that will read higher than 30, a few more engine reinforcements to keep the crank from deciding the ground is a better place than the bed plate, a clutch that is retarded expensive, etc. But I figure I'll be making enough power that keeping street tires on the ground in 1st through 4th gear will be a problem. It's only the first 2 that I can't keep on the ground now. Then I wonder why I don't just sell this thing to some F&F wannabe kid and buy something that puts the power to the correct axle.
That last statement is a very good point...You could at least buy something that has AWD like a WRX or something along those lines. On the other hand, the sleeper Neon is still pretty sick...

might finally be faster than the neon soon lol
