maroman, what is ur redline? most stock cars have their redline pretty close to peak hp. u may be quite a bit faster if ur shifting up higher. i dont know the actual redline, so if its 5k then sure, but i would assume closer to 6 for you right?

You should be able too look this up. I would say you could go a little higher. You want too keep the car wear it is making power. Since you do have the basic bolt ons and you are moving a little more air your peak power is a little higher then the stock power band. I would say around 5500 or so maybe should keep you right in your power band both on the low and high side. Mind this in lower gears as you dont want to brake traction in second.

his car is an auto.. and my car red lines at 6k rpms.
we went at it 2 times. one from a dig another from 20mph roll
from a dig i came out the hole about a car length on him. he said he went easy on the pedal cus he didnt wanna spin.. i kept a car length on him till close to the end when he got to my rear panel
from a roll we were neck and neck till about 60 then he slowly gained and when it ended i was a little behind his doors..
we arer going to race again from a dig and from 20. gives him another chance to beat me and me another to beat him.
i checked and i was shifting at a little below 5k rpms.. should i be getting closer to redline for better power?

OMG man, if u were shifting that low with those results, hold the damn gear out. almost all cars make more power toward their redline. especially near stock, they usually do a damn good job at setting the redline.
