Default LT1 vs. LS1

OK so heres the deal..

95 LT1 Z28 A4
1.) Lingenfelter cold air intake
2.) Borla catback
3.) Hypertech power programmer
4.) 3.73's

99 LS1 Z28 A4
1.) SLP Lid and cold air
2.) Magnaflow catback
3.) Superchips programmer
4.) 2.73's

1/4mi who wins?

I say the ls1 by a car length. I have some friends that have ls1's and they always beat my friends lt1 1995 vette.

Wanted to do gears but didnt wanna go 3.73's cause I like to take hwy trips. 2.73's kick *** for that purpose maybe 3.42's would give me the best of both worlds?

I have 3.73's just haven't got them put in yet. but idk about the 3.42's i'd say if u were gonna go with them might as well just get 3.73's

if you don't mind turning damn near 3k rpm on the highway, get 3.73's. i turn 2300rpm with 3.23's in my auto LT1.

btw, if the LT1 hooks, the LS1 is gonna be playing "catch-up" the whole 1/4. he's gonna be ripping through 2nd well before you even shift out of 1st.

if he hooks, LT1 by maybe 1/2 a car. if not, it's in the bag for the LS1.

im doin 65 at 2000 rpms with 323s and im goin for 373 gears to see what happens before i go with the 12 bolt. just got to get them in. are you sure the converter is locking up on yours?

the ls1 still has a pretty good advanage in hp. should have him in the 1/8th then its all driver and hole shot both leave good you lose. get heads, intake, cam and headers with the 373s then you should win easy. 342 is a good middle for the a4.
