I have 3.73's just haven't got them put in yet. but idk about the 3.42's i'd say if u were gonna go with them might as well just get 3.73's

if you don't mind turning damn near 3k rpm on the highway, get 3.73's. i turn 2300rpm with 3.23's in my auto LT1.
btw, if the LT1 hooks, the LS1 is gonna be playing "catch-up" the whole 1/4. he's gonna be ripping through 2nd well before you even shift out of 1st.
if he hooks, LT1 by maybe 1/2 a car. if not, it's in the bag for the LS1.

im doin 65 at 2000 rpms with 323s and im goin for 373 gears to see what happens before i go with the 12 bolt. just got to get them in. are you sure the converter is locking up on yours?

the ls1 still has a pretty good advanage in hp. should have him in the 1/8th then its all driver and hole shot both leave good you lose. get heads, intake, cam and headers with the 373s then you should win easy. 342 is a good middle for the a4.
