I am in Oklahoma City for some business meetings and there are a lot of nice cars up here. Earlier todayI was next to a C6 Z06, there was a lot of traffic so we couldn't do anthing, I probably would have reved just to see it run as my C5 couldn't touch it. But a few minutes ago I went down the street to the 7-11 to get a Coke. On my way I passed by a new C6 Vette. It was an older guy, probably in his 50's. Well as luck would have it we caught the next light. This is a big street, 3 lanes, one of the main streets in OKC. I wasn't sure if he would do anything and I was hesitant to do anything cause I can't afford a ticket or worse, but my pride got the best of me. I didn't rev or anything, if he wasn't gonna run I wasn't gonna "show off" in front of him. Light turns green and we start rolling, then I hear him go WOT and so do I a split second later. I left traction control on as I am not a good enough driver yettohandle thecapabilities of the car and my rear tires have very little tread left on them(I bought it with bad rear tires, my new tires should be here Fri.) When we went WOT in 1stI jumped out in front by a fender, then I shifted to second and got some bad wheel spin and the rear of the car was swaying back a forth a little. He jumped out in front as TC took over and that was it. Really wouldn't have done much more anyway because the speed limit is 45. It wasn't much but enough to get the blood flowing, I had him through 1st gear though.

no seriously though you dont see enough of those races around. its always something vs civic or something vs mustang. a c5 z/c6 race would be a pretty tight vid

 

I agree ..as soon as I get my car from the shop and break my clutch in I will try and get a vid of me and the ls1 99 vette

 

I wish I would have had my camera with me, it was back at the hotel room. I probably wouldn't have had time to get it out and ready, and I don't know how I would have held on to it. I would have liked to run longer or at least got a run in 2nd gear also, but it can't hold 2nd with the rear tires being the way they are.
