Default Had fun on the drive home tonight Camaro 3.8 vs. Camaro 3.4

Just got my car back from getting new rotors, pads, and new fuel pump, must have added like 50hp. J/k. But she is running really good. So anyway, just getting out of town I pass a 3.4 Camaro on the highway, as soon as I passthem(not sure if it was a girl or guy)they pull up next to me and get on it. I hope it was a ragged out car because I didn't think the 3.4's were this slow, I thought it would give me adecent run. Speed limit is now 70 when I catch up. Did like 4 or 5 runs from 70-90ish, beatthem pretty bad, probably5-6 lengths. They signaled for me to slow down so we slow down to 50, 3 honks, and I'm gone, even got on it a little late, by the time I hit 110 they were a spec in my rearview mirror, I can't even estimate how many car lengths they were so far back, I don't know when they let off? I thought the 3.4's were quicker than that, wish I would have remembered I had my camera with meand I would have recorded it.

I've driven my buddies 3.4...it was slow and the peak hp was lower in the rpm range so the top end sucked...

alot slower imo (but I have 3.42's w/ LSD and he has 3.08's w/o LSD so that may have affected it as well)

Especially if they have a gutted cat!

And with a K&N filter on the stock intake too, man, that's power right there...

(oh...pssst, SS's have over 300 stock too...you may want to make it more like, 330 or something...)

Look, we all know stock for stock the Y87 is best, but we all know that with a Z all I really have to do is get some cross drilled break lines and I'll be up there with the Y87's in HP, that and an O-pipe in the exhaust for more back pressure after my gutted cat...
