first of all id like to say wassup to every one in camaro forums and i drive a 2000 z28 long tube headers 2500 stall shift kit gears 410s no cat exaust kn filter so theres this guy chris showing off his 1996 gt 5 speed to his mechanic buddies i happen to work across the street and i walk over there and ask him what he has and he sais to much for your car so i say lets runum then sure inuff we go out to the cuts and we
go from a dig neck to neck till 70mph then i walked all over him i pull over check out his ride he had a 50 shot cold air intake exaust headers i say nice ride he checks mine out and keeps acussing me of having spray i lmao and say havent u ever raced a camaro before he says he walks all over ss maros all day lol so he finally gives up the spray search and says i have heads and a cam come on u lost thats all there is to it i say he leaves verry angry

 

Welcome to the site, altho i think u should have had him by a little more at the beginning unless u were having some traction issues.

But LOL, the 96 GT was among the slowest v8 made EVAR and he is confused why he lost to a solid 12 second car? hell, hes still
somewhere in the 14s/high 13seven WITH the spray. Dont u love it when people in slow cars cant figure out why they lost??

 

yup he just put 2000 gt heads on his car and says hes on higher level then me now he wants a rematch

 

not if hes just running the 50 shot. it will be closer, but i still think u get it. usually it takes full boltons and a 100 shot for the GT to get a solid victory... and i would know [>:]

everybody in my area is pretty quick to back down,i never get the odd GT with a couple boltons to beat up on. i really want a piece of a new GT but havent had the opportunity yet. it tear it a new one unless it had FI, i know... but still. id love to smack a couple of the kids around here whose daddy's gave them brand new GT's for grad present

00 GT with longtubes (which most 4.6 guys dont do because its one of the most difficult header installs in the car world...... [:@] 12 hours of constant work... well, 12.5) full exhaust, intake, 3.73 gears, UDPs, custom dyno tune, and a 100 wet shot.

was downtown one time and had a stock, black ls1 z28 pull up to me and rev. So i revved back.. he laughed [&o] so i purged a little nitrous and he stopped laughing .

we find an empty place to race, and line up and we have someone drop his arms for us. from a dig he had me by 3 cars by 80mph (thats bad) but i wasnt spraying. sprayng was just about the opposite. I took him by 80 by about 2-3 cars. he had traction issues though. on the dyno my car made 345rwhp, 435ft lbs on the spray, and only 260rwhp 305rwt off the spray. this was a PI gt. that 96 is nPI which made 215bhp stock which is like 190rwhp or so. its pretty freakin sad. the stang this guys raced was probably still shy of 260rwhp even on spray, which is quite a ways behind the OP. now with his PI heads i bet hes making somewhere in the 300rwhp range (thats considering same mods as my old car, with half the nitrous) so the OP should still pull him. and with a stalled auto im surprised he didnt take him off the line harder.

wow, i didn't know the mid 90's mustangs were that slow. i outran a 95 gt in my 3.8, but i thought the car just had mechanical problems. i beat him by a car at least. i'm not a "chevy guy" who puts ford down or whatever, but that is really crappy.
