Default Grand Prix GT vs. 91 5.0

Ok so heres the deal, my buddy has a 2001 Grand Prix GT with 230,000 miles on it, bone stock. I raced him a couple of times once from a roll and once from a dig and raped him each time. Well over the weekend he raceda 91 Mustang with a 5.0 with headers a Flowmaster Catback and a CAI. Well out of 8 races from digs and various roll speeds, the Grand Prix came out on top 7 times. Just thought i would share because i laughed so hard i cried cause this guy just got done tellin me how bad his 5.0 would smoke my IROC.

There must be somthing wrong with the stang... I have a GTP, and when it was stock, I had a hard time keeping up with them...

the guy that owns ive never known to own junk, it has like 90000 miles on it. It seemed to be running pretty good. The only thing is that it is a convertable so it is heavier thana regular hatchback or notch back fox.

big beefy fox bodies? some years were <3k lbs. a v8 sporting 2900 lbs car aint bad in my book. thats why when they went to sn95 in 95 they were so slow. same motor in heavier car.

i agree tho, it should have waxed that gp. something is up. to be honest, if he had it running right it should walk ur iroc as well

True, The 5.0 TPI although a great motor, is not a stellar performer, and it took the 5.7 TPI to hang with the mudstain of the same year... My gtp weighs in at a hefty 3460lbs without driver, so its no lightweight either... plus the front wheel squeel dont help it off the line...

Gorgous car though!!! I like that blue as well...

that is true, i guess i forgot to mention. that iroc is pretty. is it original color or did u have it redone? never seen one like that before. usually 3rd gens seem to have flatter paint than you have, unless u just do a hell of a wax job
