a 3000GT VR4 is a factory twin turbo awd. I have no idea stock what power they make but I did witness a LS1 beat a 400awdhp from a dig. The VR4 jumped out of the whole of course but the LS1 reeled him. LS1-3300lbs VR4 4000+lbs. And still want to race!! And from what I gather your car is stock so maybe 240hp. Mine isn't stock and has 300+hp stock. FACTS say LS1's kick *** not your 3000GT.

Ok so I was wrong about the weight so sue me. I am positive however that the VR4's are twin turboed factory maybe just for a year or two. Don't know but there is 2 of them in my town and I've seen under the hood and there is 2 turbo's and my car will do 140+ with ease and I don't have to dog the trans as you stated you would have to do in a earlier post. And I guarantee that I will get there alot faster than you will and yes if you turbo it you will get there faster but it doesn't magically raise your top speed. You will have to change trans or gearing for that.

 

ur speedometer dont go to 180 unless aftermarket i could be wrong.... but my speedometer in the IROCZ28 goes to 140

Don't expect to toss a turbo in there and run 9s. A decent twin setup will cost you around 5k just in parts, and seeing that you're a moron, you'll probably have to pay someone else to do all the work for you and tune it. So count on 10 grand. Then count on still being stomped by a neon, and having everyone here laugh at you for spending 10 grand to be almost as fast as a Z28.

 

i would hafta get a chip and to take out the factory speed cut to let it go faster. all vr4's r twin turbos... some ppl that have N/A 3000gts r starting to go single turbo bc they have less lag n spool up faster

 

no i wouldnt pay a dam mechanic to do it... i got friends to help me out if i need it.. besides turbos kickass gotta love the sound of the BOY psssttt

 

btw i can get a full Twinturbo kit used (sum parts need rebuilt) for just under 3k with FMIC and alot of aftermarket goodies
