so, here's how it starts...i pull outta work and start heading towards the highway and sure enough my co-worker withhis '98('95-'96?) mustang pulls up beside me at the stoplight. he nods to me, revs his engine, i nod and attempt a rev back (auto tranny) light turns green, i floor it and we're both off. i was ahead for the first 20-50 feet or so, then he starts pullin past me...bout an arms reach ahead of my front fender. then i pull past him and we both slam on the brakes...all in all it was a bout a 5-8 second run maybe (cars ahead at a red light ended the fun) it was really more or so fun, it just really bothered me that my engine wasnt even past MY usual safe point (160 degrees) it was ice cold (bout 100-110 maybe). so should i be concerned about anything being broken? i.e.cracked block/damaged tranny/etc...?

 

if you are basically stock (which it sounds like since an NPI stang pulled on you) you wont have to worry much about temps.
