they are heavier than the 2g's. and have less top end pull. also worse TQ. my friends stock GS-T raped the same GTS my ion walked. and my 3.8 walked his GS-T

 

cool... I wasnt sure what his car could do... everyones making over his car being soo cool and fast, but I think I'll have to run with him next time I head home...

 

The spyder adds a lot of fat to a under powered car. As stated above a 2nd gen GSX or GST will kick the hell out a even the 3.0 24 valve. Torque was down as well. You have a good chance at schooling him.

 

I know from personal experience that a 3.8 camaro (5speed) will smoke an eclipse, even one with a fart cannon and stickers.

So far I have raced 3 and won every time, and I can't even shift into 2nd above 3k rpms

Hmm, I dunno, depends on how you race him. I think from a stop youll take him, I test drove one of those and they have NO ***** under oh I dunno I think almost 4k. From a roll it could be different but I still think you might have the edge. They arent light, and they arent very powerful. He'd need to be a pretty good driver.

 

My friend recently got one for the same price that i got my 3800, we raced the first day we bought them, needless to say, he's unhappy i bought this car! haha.

 

Those eclipses arent that fast. My friend just raced one in his turbo'd civic with 200whp and he smoked it. Was barely a race. You should be able to take it.

 

depends on the gen your bud raced. 95 ( i think turboed awd? ) should give the civic a race. but a 4th gen should be able to take it. but i dont know **** about turbos, not interested in them.


but put a stock rs eclipse up against the civic my bet would be on the eclipse. as my rs hugged curves like a virgins first time. but put it up against a stock camaro my mind will quickly change as my 3.4 also hugged curves.

but mitsubishi needs to make the next gen of eclipses rwd. i would consider rebuying one.

 

i'd rock a GS-X.. thats about it.
