Its not all about size. The 2.4 is a gm ecotec bassed engine. The 2.0 is a saab engine it also comes in the turbo sky and sulstice.

The 2.4 is a GM engine the 2.0 is a saab turbo engine thats why it handles boost well. It was de tuned from the factory for drivability. As you know first gear is usless already. Its a great engine and it will run forever. The clutch is a little week but with a few mods this is a killer 4 banger.

If you ever have the chance to drive one take it. Its a fun little car to drive and will give most stock GT mustangs a good run for there money.

Haven't driven a supercharged SS. I too thought they were all supercharged. I have driven a brand new SRT-4 ACR and that was "kick you in the face" fast!
