a buddy of mine has a 66 cuda that im gonna race and im pretty sure gonna kill (no its not a hemi im not retarded) but my other buddy whos cobalt SS supercharged only takes me by a car and a halfish put at least 6 on him so im thinking ima kill him pretty smothly

 

nick, not to get into another argument or anything but i would think the ss supercharged cobalt would be a little more then a car and a half faster then the 3800.... them things are f-in quick arnt they? i may be wrong???

 

If the race with the V6 and the Cobalt was from a dig then yeah I could see only a car and a half. Those things are wheel spin monsters. If it is from say a 25 roll then yeah SORRY Nick but the SS should beat you by alot more than that. He could have a bad driver mod though. Hope you take down that Cuda.

 

your semi right blu but big bird is right also the SS supercharged has a big problem with wheel hop off the launch + i have more torque so off the line i rush him but it dosent take me long before i catch back up the other thing about cobalts is all there power is late second to 3rd we ran a short race if it was longer it would have been wider win on his part but he ran the cuda in the same spot and was a much clearer victory again im judging a car and half from inside the car so its hard to say

 

What done to this Barracuda? If it's even a warmed over 340 your toast. Hell my old 1969 Coronet, which was about 600lbs heavier than a 66 Barracuda, ran low 14's with a stock (except some minor bolt ons) 318. If the Barracuda has anything done and is packing anything more than a stock 318, your done for.

 

i dont think i am JD i know that its not the orignal motor that came with the car in it i also know that is smaller than 318 when him and his dad found this cuda it was trashed so there slowy restoreing it i think he told me it was in the high 200's as far as ci go but they painted the block hemi orange lol ive riden it driven seen it run all out im very confindent

 

this race finnally happened and i killed the cudda. By 2+ lengthsbut hes a good buddy of mine so that was fun. then me and my friend with thecobalt SS sc raced again. he agreed not to go past 4000 rpms in any gear, to make it sporting. but had good clean shifts and i beat him by just a nose lol.

 

i kill a classic and not one reply this is discrimination i say!

 

both 8 cyl's were 273's. the 2bbl was 180 hp & the 4 bbl was 235 hp. also a pretty healthy weight on that car. Any win's a nice win though Now go get to tunin so you can stomp the cobalt!

 

hey putting in the stage 2 pulley kit so thats not a simple as its sounds but if i can get a supercharger in mine itll be more than a match
