ORIGINAL: LT1RUNNER

It will cost about the same for the SC or turbo. I think you'er better off going with the turbo. If I'm correct you don't have to swap out the pistons because it works off the exhaust. As to where with the sc you have to put in lower compression piston to run more than 6psi. There are plenty of guys here who know way more than I do. Hopfully someone with expirence of SC and turbos will give you some pointers.
yes thats correct... I thought it was B.S. and I never did lower my compression with running an 8 PSI supercharger, and now I need to rebuild my 01 Vettes motor... Sucks *****...

Depends, On the setup, the PSI, your heads, pistons, cams etc... doing a power adder like that, a cam and RR's are a good idea, a new PCM isnt needed, but if your spending the money doing the motor, a PCM could be a good idea... lightweight flywheel etc... You'll want to get a stronger driveshaft, there is so much you have to do to get into a good 10.0 second car and keep it reliable... if your not driving it on the street much, and running N.O.S. drop your timing 4* to help keep your motor and money from grenading...

Id guess that with a basic turbo setup, and minimal engine tuning, you'll be around 440 crank HP or so...

Yes, if done right, I have a blown corvette... and it was very streetable. Untill I grenaded the engine by not doing it right... ( it still runs, but ticks and knocks badly ). And FYI, I still get 30 Highway MPG with my auto vette...

Depends man... There is so many ways to set up a turbo... a guy in my GTP club has a twin turbo 99 TA, and it has 1000 whp... But its not very streetable, and he blows parts all the time... bet he has 90k or more sunk into that car... you can push you car to any limit you want, just depends on how much your willing to spend.
