Can a 383 stoker supercharged beat a stock nissan 350z?
Well at least he has his mind in the right place. I can see where he is coming from in a sence. Just because you drive an american car doesn't make you more american than the person driveing a honda but I'd prefer to keep my money in the states rather than send it to another country.

Easy, that would be the Ford Edge, even if it is built in Canada. Because the proceeds from the sale of that car goes to an American company.
The Toyota Tundra, although built in the U.S., still lines the pockets of the Japanese.
I believe that was the point that was being made.

and yenko, NOBODY wants an ION. they suck *****[>:]
My stock 260 horse crate motor with a TH350 tranny has help up well with 350Zs. Granted, the three I've gone up against have beaten me by about 1/4 car, but a 383 with beat em out easy I'm bettin.
totally NOT kidding when i say this.... with all the work done to my ION before i totalled it.. it'd be neck and neck with my friend's 350Z till about 85-90. then he'd pull hard, and i'd have to go into 4th and fall flat on face. his 350Z is stock though... but keep in mind, i was only bolt on + suspension.
Pertaining to the question of the thread, a healthy 383 stroker with a supercharger would easily be putting out over 500 h.p., with a ****load of bottom-end torque. The 350Z will be in your mirrors in no time flat!
