I have a 97 Camaro (V6) and a guy i know has a Cobalt (LS i think, my guess is about a 2005). Does anyone know how these 2 would compare? I know the Cobalt is only a 4-cylinder, but I don't know much about them, like weight and gearing.. I think the Cobalt has a CAI, but thats about it. As far as the Camaro, its all stock at the moment.

yeah the ss is pretty quick, maybe just as fast as a LT1, but a non-ss, there nothing..

 

So the other night I pulled up to a light in my stock 1996 3.8 v6and a cobalt LS pulled up next to me.He revs his engine and wants to race.So when the light turned green we both floored it.I pulled ahead pretty quickly and I kept a good lead on him.I was going about 95-100 in a 45 so after I got a good lead on him I put the brakes on to slow down because it was obvious who won.So after I slow down to about 50-55 he goes flying past me and flips me off.It is obvious the race is over when the person ahead of you puts on the brake and slows down.I don't think he understood that.
If it's a ls you will win no problem,but watch out for the ss (turbo)they will beat a stock v6 everytime.

 

i think the ss is supercharged, not turbo

 

Supercharger or turbo in the long run they do the same thing, add lots of horsepower.PLEASE FORGIVEME for my mistake NICKDOTCOM.AKA-Mr. Perfect.Most people make mistakes at some time or other,but maybe you don't.
