sory , my bad.... was just skimming through and didn't see the post.....right before i bought my car i looked ant and test drove a ex-cop car....were the fourth gens still a B4C? or was that onlu 3rd gen?

 

yea the 4th gen police package was a B4C rpo.some think the 1LE was the police package. but there is a site where you can type these codes in and it will instantly tell you what each one means..

this page might only work for the 4th gens but you can go to the 3rd gen section and type in codes also

yeah i have that site in my favorites. i looked up all the rpo's for my car. i found the factory manifest for my car and it has them listed on the bottom. the B4C car i drop was an auto car with high mileage , and really wanted a manual trans so i bought the SS plus it only had 33K miles when i bought it so............

 

No because interceptors (B4C) cars are no faster than a Z or SS, be they LT1 or LS1. The minimal weight differance is not enough to give an edge and the B4C cars had no more power than regular cars.

 

did the LT1 b4c cars have different brakes and such? i know alot of the third gen b4c cars have the 1LE pakcage and were pretty killer cars...di they do the same on the 93-97 cars or just run the same stuff?

 

yea i looked all over for a 6 speed and all i could find was the automatic.. did they even come as a manual? (i mean cop cars)

 

don't know. haven't been able to find much info on the B4C 4th gens. i found LOADS of info on the 3rd gen B4C cars.most of the 3rd gen B4C had 1LE hardware (bigger sway bars ,dual piston front brakes , rear disc , and better springs). but i can't
fiind much about the 4th gens. i was wondering if the 4th gen B4C cars had the same setup. i have only seen 1 4th gen with 1LE, and don't exatly what the difference was.

 

they did make the B4C cars in a manual but there very rare.i mean they were usually used for catching up 2 fast moving cars and pulling speeders over and when ur a cop taking off after a guy u really dont want a stick(how many cop cars do you see w/ a stick??)it just wasnt sensible so unless its a rare find or a B4c that was never in the force(never got used) most likely its a auto.

 

get over myself? are you seroisly going to back this guy up? he says he beat a TWIN TURBO bmw with a high 13 second - low 14 second car

an LS1 is a faster car but i could understand how he may win in a street race, same for the g35 and mustang. but you honestly believe he beat a TT bimmer?

go to the track, see what your car really runs and we'll know if its some factory monster or you just got lucky

 

the twin turbo bimmer is a factory twin turbo carrated @ 300hp, it is not as fast as a M3. they run a 13.7 in the 1/4 .....so just because it is a twin turbo does noy automatically mean its a 600hp supercar! i will be going to the track this weekend , but all we have locally is a 1/8 mile track...but that will still give a a good idea of what it will do (and the TWIN TURBO bmw will be there too)
