So I'm driving my beater home tonight, and low and behold, a yellow older civic si with an exhaust wants to play. Naturally, we end up at a stop light after a few miles, and I figure why not. I'm in my 99 Neon R/T, with the dumbed down trans for better gas mileage, the worst alignment I've ever seen, a bad wheel bearing, and 400 lbs of passengers, along with another 150 lbs of parts in the trunk.

We take off at the light, and I run out first and 2nd, keeping more than a car lead. Get going about 60, and I let off.

At the next light, he rolls the window down. He has to make sure that the obligatory ricer excuse is inserted. "I don't have a 3rd gear, man!" At this point I really have to laugh, seeing as we didn't get going fast enough to even need to use 3rd.

 

no runnin out of excuses from ricers, buti'd say it'sbetter than the "I missed first gear!" hahahahaaha...

The funny part is that in the car's condition, and the weight I had in it, I would probably have had trouble getting a 16 out of it. Beating a Honda in a 17 second car is just too funny.
