99 Eclipse GSX?

GSX VS a V6 is not even a game sorry. The turbo offers a lot of top end and they are strong out of the hole even the GST the FF is still strong. Its not all about the power but how it makes its power that matters.

First off there are FF turbo talons as well. There is no stock 4g63 bottom end running 9 seconds or even 10 for that matter. The stock turbo on the second gens is horrible and the first gen isn’t much better. To run low to mid 13s in the first gen (the better gen to most) its going to take a FMIC, 16G or bigger, Fuel management, injectors, 260 cams minimal, a lot of boost probably around 17 pounds on the 16G (a lot on a 16G to the stock turbo), A new clutch and fly to get it to the ground and new axles to hold it. Now your making a little more than a stock evo or STI makes and running low 13s maybe if you push for a bigger cam and up the boost and higher octane fuel to sustain the higher boost maybe a 12 that would be impressive. With that being said now your valve train is at its limit and your bottom end is already being pushed way past its limit. You cant go much father with out rebuilding the head and bottom end. As far as running 11s on pump gas it is possible. With a built engine, totally new fuel system a large 18G or bigger, 272 cams, new diffs, rebuilt trany, and better rubber. ( yes a AWD car will break traction). Now you have a race car and your pushing low 12s. To break to the 11s its going to take a huge turbo and lots of boost well past what you would run on a daily driver. And the car is hardly going to idea do to the huge cam and at this point your also running a true stand alone system to support it all. And you have spend probably twice what the car cost if not more. The DSM is a good car and VS the V6 3.8 the eclipse second Gen is going to be a good race. From a dig the AWD is going to kick your *** if the guy can drive. From a roll on the 3.8 will pull for about 1 before the DSM hits boost and starts to real him in and over takes him. This is if its second gen. The first is lighter and the turbo is a little better than the second. If hes got any good mods he will walk the 3.8 in its stock form. I used to be a huge DSM fan and owned a 95TSI mild bolt ons and a 91 a also with mild bolt ons.

And dont forget, all that money you put into you eclipse you can put into the 3800 too and it has alot of potential also. Or depending apon the amount of money, you could get a Z28 and just blow them away.
