anyway i was driving home the other day an this black dodge pickup truck sitting at the light i stop at. i was a few cars back from him. i hear the driver revving the truck loud. the light turn green an he takes off. im not sure if he racing someone or not. anyway i take after him an catch him at the light. soi gave him a rev an he rev back at this point i knew it was on. all of a sudden the light change he gets the first jump on me maybe a car length but i reeled him in quick and pass him. i had about 6 car length on this dude i shut down at 90mph. the guy wouldnt even pull up to me so we could talk or i could give him a thumbs up. so turn off at the next road. anyway not sure what year the dodge ram truck was maybe 96 or 97. it was v8 magnum. my car 93z28 mods are hypertech chip, hooker aero chamber muffler, and shift kit.

 

those things are slow as hell. i raced one of the newer ones a few months back and smoked it in a v6 lol. ok maybe not smoked it but got it by a length or so at like 70

i actually raced a 97 Z the other day in my 04 Ram Hemi.. that was a beatdown. we only raced till 70 or so, was in a 40. Put in 4H, Staged her, so i had RPM's at about 3grand, and by 40 i was 6-7 cars ahead of him, but by 70 he had caught up to about 3-4 cars. if it had been to a 100 or whatever he woulda walked me im sure..
gotta love the TQ of a truck. . specially the Hemi. [8D]

sounds like he wasnt racing, hemi rams are a 16 second truck

nope.. but like i said, at 70 he was reeling in, i'd assume by 100 he'd have me by 2-3 cars. prolly just got a good start off the line between 4WD and the truck's TQ. plus he was spinning pretty bad. also he was standard so driver error and such.

 

carefull with that dodge the tranny wont last to long with you driving it like that,but i still dont think it was a v8 you raced it probily was a sixxer with v8 badges.

 

One more question. Why would you put itin 4H? So you wouldnt spin?
