Ok i hope i get the answer i want, i have a 85 IROC 305 TPI and a kid at my school has a 2001 V6 mustang and i was wondering what would be the outcome.(don't worry not actually going to race) I know his is STOCK because i bought mine used not sure if its STOCK lets just say it is, Thanks for the help.

 

That mustang does have a chance of taking you. Justs cuz it's new and prolly has a higher gear ratio. It's pretty much a 50/50 chance. I say go ahead and race it and see what the outcome is.

 

Thanks, i looked up the specs and mine are 215HP 275torque and the Stang is 190HP and 220torque i think i would have him but would you still say 50/50.

 

What's the weight difference?

 

I hate t say it cause I love camaros but id probly have to say the mustang.

 

The stang is at least 100 pounds lighter so there goes your horspower advantage. It would be damn close.

 

You have quite a bit more torque...get it from a light and keep the race short!

 

you gotto at least try every kills fun but the blood smells so much better when its a stang just so much fun to kill a me too car

 

i didnt think v6 stangs are that fast if he ahs a v8 verse a v6 wouldnt he win or are the irocs not that fast

 

im not familier with the 305 motor, i've raced plenty of buttholes at my school with mustangs that think therye the ****, the closest thing to a loss was seeign a cop and having to bail, but i've beaten 00 v6 stang, a 94 GT stang, a 95 v6, and a 88 5.0 was when we saw teh cop...

newer cars are faster tho so i dunno hah just race him and let us know how it went
