so my new GF's dad has a yamaha R6..i want to beat it

if i get a 400-450hp N/A screamer 350 (tunnle ram intake long duration cam and built heads) and add a 100-150 shot, with a T5, and ls1 rear and ~3200lbs would i be able to beat him?


the r6 is stock

 

might from a dig in the 8th but bikes are fast thats atleast a mid to high 10sec bike in the 1/4 and the bigger busa's and gixxers are 9s you should be able to find some specs and where ppl have performed test on the R6.

 

yeah ill also want to run a 12 bolt with 4.11's and 276 DOT slicks with maybe a 4 link but idk...if i can get it to do a 1.8x or faster 60 foot ill be happy..idc if he has the top end lol...also..im shooting for somewhere in the DEEP 12's or mid 11's

 

shouldnt be hard to get into the 12s or 11s if youve got the green and the know how.

A lot depends on what year R6 it is and whats mods are done before we know how fast it is.

However your talking about a bike that probaly runs high 10s bone stock. The older R6s still run very very low 11s stock.

You would need a fully built bottom end, a great set of heads, a monster cam to get any where close to the numbers you want. And if you are planing to beat the bike you better add a good shot of juice on top of that.

Of course your T5 isnt going to make it more then 10 feet on that kind of power so you better be ready to drop about 3000 bucks on a T56 swap or built th350, 4L60, ect, ect.

Also your going to need a mean clutch/converter and 9inch or 12 bolt so thats a good chunk of cash right there.

Long story short you would be better off buying a bike of your own and trying to beat him or buying a built LS1 car for about 12-15K because thats about what its going to cost you in parts alone.

 

Also most of the newer 600cc bikes are coming in at around 360-380lbs with around 140 horses stock give or take depending on what brand.

At 140HP on a 380lb bike your at about 2.5lbs per hp.
At 400HP in a 3200lb car your at about 8lbs per hp.

 

the R6 is bone stock and is a 2008...

im not gonna beat it right now though..ive decited to go after my gf's neighbors wrx (non sti) stupid ricers been hitting on her since she was 15 lol..

olds 462 (455 bored) 500hp and about 600ft-tq...semi built th400, about 3400lbs, 12 bolt with 3.73s, DOT slicks and major rear suspension mods

 

Um why dont you use your own car. I dont think you are going to get many points by using "daddys car"
