RE: 3000GT?
i don't understand the point of beating the **** out of someone till they are on the verge of death. i guess i don't need to do that to get my point across. in the 2 "fights" i've been in i threw 1 punch in each. they both ended with them unconscious on the ground and that was it. i could have climbed on top and continued, but what was the point? neither of them have messed with me since either

Yeah, well... Depends on what the person did. I see no problem in paralyzing someone if they deserve it, I was an unarmed combat specalist in the military, and I took martial arts my whole life, they say it teaches you " discipline " .... Im not a violent guy by nature, but I will defend myself and others weaker than I to the death. And the way I see it, anyone who wont, is a coward...

From an MMA/self defense stand point- if your in a confrontation where someone is threatening to kill you- then use what ever means nessicary to defend yourself and escape-
If you in a good old boy "see who the better man is" type of fight- then yes I could understand not using a weapon- but some type of agreement should be made in that case not to use one.. then again being in such a brawl is putting your self at risk regardless
What martial arts do you train in?

I dont train anything anymore... But I was in karate from 6 to 12 yrs old, and kick boxing from 14 to 17, then millitary from 17 to 22... Now im just taking it easy, got a laid back job for GM for the last couple yrs, and quite like the money, but hate how easy going it is, so am considering going into the Millitary again.

I hear yah, I take Brazilian Jujitsu and Muai tai- the combination of the two is what you see on shows like UFC, Pride, ect...basically MMA- but its definatly good to have some type of self defense background...

I know the US Army teaches some good Bjj-I'm sure Canada does too- its always essential to be an expert on your ground game- considering 90% of all real world fights go to the ground- being able to choke someone out or snap there arm can be the difference between life and death...
