Default 2 kills, 2 losses

well tonight was a fun night of racing. i ended up having 4 races, all at the Tea Airport (used for light aircraft, and nothing else). my first race was with my firend Matt and his Miata (he's been claiming he'll kill me in the 1/4 for the past month). we line them up, and right off the bat i started spinning, HARD. i could've sworn there was oil on my tires! well i made it through 1st and spun slightly in 2nd, and finally pulled 10 lengths on Matt's little Miata. Next race was against my friend Jamie and his turbo Miata (running 25psi). this one ended up being much closer, i only beat him by 1 1/2 cars. The third race was interesting though. I was up against a stock looking '98 Chevy Suburban. I figured it was going to be another easy kill. Boy was i wrong!! He launched in 4wd, and all i heard after that launch was a HUGE turbo! He pulled a car on me and i held that car length all the way through the 1/4. I was NOT expecting that at all. I found out that the Suburban has run a fastest pass of 12.7 @ 110. The last race was almost comical as much as it was sad, i was up against a Ford Windstar. Well i get all lined up, and then i hear it again. The sound of a turbo[&:]. The Windstar was turboed, and i didn't know what kind of power he was making at the wheels. Well i figured this was going to be another close race. Flag dropped and i gave a little more gentle launch, only 3500rpm this time, which really helped in hooking up. Spun slightly through 1st and 2nd, while the 'Star spun for a good long while. I hit 3rd and then i saw the van pulling on me! Hit 4th and he instantly put another car on me. By the 1/4, he had me by 4 cars[&:]. That was really pretty pathetic, my sbc just had it's a$$ handed to it by a Windstar[:@]. Came to find the guy is running LOW 12's at 120+ mph (spinning like mad). But that's my story for racing, hope you guys enjoy the read.

Beating the turbo miata is a good kill. How much power are you putting down?

no, i did the swap. putting down 351rwhp and 385rwtq. the 3.1 V6 is getting it's own custom chassis (aka big go-kart)

A ford lightning was following me down the highway last weekend and kept trying to get up next to me. I felt kind of awkward racing it because it is a truck, but don't they run mid 13's stock?

i took it to a actual dyno. i don't remember were peak HP was, but peak TQ was at 4500rpm. i'll have to see if i can scan the sheet.
