Anybody know how fast these are?

And also... I'm running a 99 Camaro 3.8 with full bolt ons (Once I get my new headers back in... Thank god for warranty lol) with a 3.42 limited slip 4 speed auto.... Got a new set of skins all around too so I got some good traction now... Kinda lol.

Well this guy with a 98 GTP wants to race me to see what ***** my car has behind it... Anybody know how close this race will be? 95% sure his car is all stock.

 

I would have to say that hewould winbecause thats your same motor but supercharged, but if hes bone stock it should put up a decent fight, but in the end he should beat you. I could be wrong though.

 

the 06 GP is ok off the line, but loses power around 50MPH, you'll beat that one, ( I had a rental a while back as mine was in the shop) the GTP will murder you... if he know's how to drive, its hard to control the TQ of that front drive car, depending on the launch, they can run mid 14 bone stock. ( mine did ) and modded its rediculous for a 6 cyl...

 

I run high 14s right now... So a cam would sit me in that range as far as that goes. Who knows what i'll do after that lol. So it wouldn't be murder if your times are accurate :P We'll see how good he can drive on Wednesday heh

 

if hes running consistant high 14s he will be able to hold his own against a GTP.mid 14s are pretty freaking hard to do with those cars. props for being able to run that, but most stock GTP's i see are right around the OP's times

and as stated, the GTP is VERY traction limited, with a good set of meats, stock it'll easily be mid to low 14.s... as you know, spinning is not winning... and stock my GTP would spin in 2nd easily.

 

i understand that, thats just not what the OP (original poster ) is up against. hes up against a bone stock car, which is high 14s, and possibly into 15s unless this kidknows what hes doing.

i raced my friends 04 gtp on the highway in my sisters eclipse and it was even. from 0-60 he was faster but from a high way roll it was even. her car is a stock to the filter 05 gt with a 5 speed and a 6cy
