So i was out driving tonight when i came up to a red light and i noticed i was behind one of those new cobalt ss supercharged cars. And out of nowhere a black02 4.6 pulls up and said something to the cobalt owner and i guess he must ofwanted to racebecause he reeved up and i heard that supercharger whine out and it sounded pretty good. So the light took forever but it turned green and they tore off down the road and i tailed them to see the outcome. The cobalt ate the **** out of the mustang. It probably beat it by a good 3 cars and it kept on pulling. I had no idea that those cars were actually that fast. I mean i know that mustangsaren't the fastest, but that mustang ate ****. If i was going to buy a "import" car i would definately stay chevy and buy the ss cobalt.

 

Yes those cars are very respectable... My best friend has one thatsslightly mod (stage 2 injectors,smaller pully, cai, flashed ecu, headers, full exhaust,&tuned) he stays with my stock ss till about90 mph, but on a hot day ill pull pretty fast on him

 

The Cobalt can't be defined as an import anyway, imports have to be made in other countries.

There's a couple around town...if the styling was a bit better, I would definetely consider one in the future

 

Talking about supercharged cars, last month I saw one of the funniest races. I am sitting at a light in the westbound lane with about 5 cars in front. Some idiot going eastbound with a noisy Honda pulls up to the light next to a Turbo Carrera Porsche. Light changes, Honda takes off with all it had while the Porsche justtakes off at a normal pace. Honda has about 4 lengths on the Porsche and then the Porsche driver wakes up and stands on it. The front wheels on the Porsche come about 3" off the ground and stay in that position as as it blows by the Honda anddisappears out of sight. I've seen few turbo Porsches, but this one definitely was not a stock machine.

 

he had it in quotes for a reason. It's not really an import, but it's very similar to the concept of an import car. Smaller super charged engine, and the car looks like an import kinda too. I see where he's coming from, although it's not a real import.
