i agree with 74454BB , i consider myself a car guy. there are some pretty cool cars from almost every manuf. it's usually the closed minded owners of alot of cars. generally if does what it was designed to doi think it's cool . i am pretty much GM loyal in my ownersship mainly because of the ease if working on , part avalability , cost of parts , and interchangeabiltiy(and they have some kickin car designs).one of my best freinds drives a 40th Anniv. GT , and another one drives a BMW 335I. i think both of their cars are pretty cool. the GT has some stuff done to it (still won't outrun my SS though) and the BMW is 100% stock (i get him in the 1/8 , he gets me in the 1/4) . i love the old GM cars and trucks , and the old Mopars are cool (don't like much of the new stuff as i work @ a Subaru , Chrysler , Jeep dealership) , the Fox body Stangs were cool and the old Ford cars were cool (the galaxy , torino , cougar , and things the like)... just my $ .02

 

lol.. pretty funny stuff.. but just imagine if the Saleen was gutted.. It would be like a ford gt on roids..

 

I stayed nose and nose with a 00 SS last summer(We went 4 times 3 of them we were back and forth sharing a nose lead, the forth time though he was about a car ahead of me and took off I was already in 2nd so I hit it too and it was on a road that had a few parts missing in it and I could hear his car up and down in the rpms(someone had more traction I guess ) I ended up about2 ahead of him, I think (know) that was primarily due to the old 17 year old rich kid driver mod installed. But it was fun.

do u have a cobra? The rims kinda look like cobra rims but I cant tell.. Sorry, i dont know my mustangs too well.. im just not a mustang guy. Anyway, if it isnt, and yours is stock, im betting he sucked at driving.. Your car is a 98 or older, and if its just a GT an SS should take it easier than that..

 

only thing stock that can take a stock LS1 or Lt1 is a cobra...

Mach 1 > LT1
Mach 1 = LS1

 

and actually, not all cobras can take those either.. The un-supercharged cobras can't take them.. An 01 SS > 01 Cobra, but im not sure about the 02..

I cant wait until they put a Ford GT up against a supercharged Vette.. They're already close for the money, cant wait until they are both supercharged.. Especially if the Vette is only 100k or so, its still less than the GT

 

i know they brought back the mach 1's when they frist did the new style stangs are they still doing them it was my understanding that as of 03 your choices were V6,GT,Cobra or shellby or am i wrong?
